Semi-Local Drivers

Picking up preloaded trailers containing batteries and cells from the Interstate Battery DC and delivering them to various distribution centers. The driver will reload the trailers with battery cores to return to the DC. Routes will vary each week, so the driver needs to be flexible. Freight is a mix of both touch and no-touch deliveries. 50% of the loads are driver-assisted by tailgating the freight with an electric pallet jack. No-touch stops are live unloaded by the customer. Pay | Miles $0.69 - $0.71 per mile Detention pay: $20 per hour Live load/unload: $30-$60 per stop Canadian load: $200 Holiday pay per day: $310 Safety training pay per hour: $20 New hire training pay: $225 per day - Schedule: Sunday - Friday - Start time: Departure times vary between 8 PM and 3 AM. The shift is Sunday night through Friday night/Saturday morning, being back by Saturday 4 AM at the latest. Typically have home time on Tuesdays and Thursdays. - Shift: 11-12 hours. - Home every other day for more than a 10-hour break.
